Have you already heard about InterNations?
InterNations is an international online community for expatriates. It is literally an online network of people living and working abroad where members can interact and exchange reliable information on a trust basis.
I became an InterNations member about an year ago. Back then I was still preparing my move and it was very usefull to clarify simple questions about living in Luxembourg as an expat. Their online platform offers not only very complete articles (take this one as an example), but also a forum where you can ask questions about pretty much everything. As the community has so many members, you are likely to have some quick answers right away.
InterNations also offer the well-known get-togethers, where members can meet each other and find people with similar interests, either in business or leisure. For singles, or couples with no children, it is a great meeting point, but for families, well, there is still some work to be done! 😉
