You’re living in Luxembourg and you are looking for the best places to buy organic products for your family? If so, I’d like to give you a few tips on my favourite places.
Please note that I’m aware of the existence of other local options. But, since I haven’t tried it yet, I’m not able to give you a recommendation on them. Hopefully other fellow readers will add some additional tips on the comments below! 🙂
Lux-City Farmers Market
By no doubt, the farmers market in the city centre is an excelent place to find some organic delicacies, especially if you’re a good returning customer and build a friendly relationship with the producers/vendors.
Address: Place Guillaume, Luxembourg
Wednesday and Saturday mornings: 7 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.
Tom Kass Farm
A huge farm with many animals, from cows and pigs to chickens and rabbits. Besides the farm side, this place offers you the opportunity for shopping a good variety of organic products not only directly to the farmer (organic meat) but also through the supermarket Naturata, as it is installed in the middle of the farm.
A very positive point of this farm is the social involvement, as the farm managers organise some cultural events through the year.
Address: 187a, rue de Luxembourg, L-7540 Rollingen (Mersch)
Tel: 27 03 06-33
Monday to Friday: 9am to 7pm, Saturday: 9am to 5pm
Just a few months ago, the farmer Guy Meyers opened to the public a structure of at least 400 m² of retail space on his biodynamic farm, where consumers can purchase organic produce and dairy, as well as other organic foods and organic cosmetics from the local Naturata supermarket. Also, the shop are includes a baking bar and bistro area.
A positive plus goes to the terrace with a children’s playground that is currently being completed.
